Even though hair transplants are being done for quite some time now, most of us are not aware of the terms FUE, NEOGRAFT and FUT that are associated with this type of surgery.   In Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant, the zones where the hair restoration will be performed are specified, the desired appearance is discussed, and how many follicular hair units can be safely harvested from the donor site are accessed.  NEOGRAFT is the name of the machine by which the first FUE was done. Currently, DeVroye and U machines are used, which are more versatile and on which NEOGRAFT techniques can be performed.  After the surgery, there may be some hair loss in areas where there is some hair, and this hair loss is referred to as ‘shock losses’.

Initially, after the hair transplant, the patient needs to wear a cap for 5-10 days, with the surgical area being a little red and noticeable. But slowly, everything will seem normal and there will be no signs of the surgery. After your surgery, if you don’t want another one too soon-no one does-you should minimize your hair loss through medical treatment with the use of drugs such as Finasteride. With this, further hair loss is prevented, with your hair having some stability.
